How to Request a Hemp Emulsion Sample

Samples are how you find out whether an emulsion works in your beverage. No spec sheet answers that question, because compatibility depends on your base, your pH, your process, and your flavor system.

How do you request a sample from Perfectly Dosed?

What comes in a hemp emulsion sample kit?

Two 20 mL vials, each with a dropper. One contains 1,000 mg of THC emulsion, the other 1,000 mg of CBD.

Each vial label carries three lines: the cannabinoid, the emulsion potency, and the batch number. A QR code on the insert pulls up the Certificates of Analysis for the specific vials you received.

How do you test an emulsion sample?

Two ways, depending on what you're trying to learn.

Single servings, on the bench. Each drop from the included dropper delivers approximately 1.2 mg of the active cannabinoid, so four drops lands around 5 mg. Build your beverage base to spec, measure out a serving, add your drops, and stir. This is the fastest way to run sensory trials and get your team tasting real versions.

Pilot batches. Use a larger portion of the vial to test whether your recipe holds up at scale. Weigh the emulsion using our Benchtop Reference Batch Calculator. Mix your base first, everything except the emulsion, then pour the weighed emulsion in. Rinse the container you weighed it in and add that rinse to the batch, since emulsion left behind is dose that never reaches your product. Circulate at least ten minutes before portioning.

What should you evaluate?

Whether the emulsion incorporates cleanly into your base. How the finished beverage tastes and looks in your actual formulation rather than in water. Whether the dose lands where you intended.

One vial is enough for a formulation team to run dozens of versions.
